Non-Conflict Minerals Policy

Conflict Minerals Non-Purchase Policy

According to the EICC, mineral mines have become the main source of income for rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo to deal in arms and perpetuate bloody conflict. This has devastated the local civilian population and drawn international condemnation. QILSTE(HongKong)Technology Co., Ltd., as a concerned global citizen, is committed to the boycott of metals from the conflict region. At the same time, we require that the QILSTE(HongKong) supply chain follow the guidelines below:

  • Conduct your operations in a socially and environmentally responsible way.
  • Do not use conflict minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its adjoining countries
  • Trace the origins of the metals gold, tantalum, tin, and tungsten, then complete and sign the declaration form
  • Make the same requirements to your upstream suppliers.

Conflict minerals: The minerals from the fighting region of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), including columbite-tantalite, cassiterite, wolframite and gold. These minerals are refined into tantalum, tin, tungsten (referred to as the 3 T’s), cobalt (Co) and gold (Au), respectively, and are commonly used in electronics and other products.
